Jiangsu's Tax Data Quality Improvement Action Strengthens the Digital Base of the Strong-Foundation Program

On June 20, 2025, China Tax Daily reported that Jiangsu tax authorities had launched a system-wide tax data quality improvement campaign. Jiangsu focused on cleaning existing data, controlling new data at the source, and establishing ongoing governance, with nearly seven million problematic records handled in the first batch and six key-field validation rules added to block bad data early. The province also built 63 daily-scanning indicators and linked centralized handling, taxpayer-side smart reminders, and online verification to sustain a reliable data foundation for smart tax operations and risk governance.
