The Pinggui District Tax Bureau in Hezhou, Guangxi, is proactively helping AI companies with tax compliance. In Pinggui's big data industrial park, a company called Yuhao Technology is collaborating with Hezhou University to build an AI model for calcium carbonate particle size detection using machine vision for real-time quality inspection — much faster than manual sampling. Tax officers regularly visit the company, providing hands-on guidance on R&D expense super-deductions and accelerated depreciation policies, using case studies to clarify what qualifies for deductions and what doesn't, reducing future audit risks. Yuhao's CEO noted that AI R&D requires heavy investment and the tax bureau's compliance support lets them focus on technology. With this support, the company has secured over 20 AI algorithm patents and software copyrights, and built a digital governance platform called 'Smart Pinggui'.
