Nanjing's tax bureau has developed an 'AI+Tax' model specifically for AI companies. Using tax big data, they create detailed profiles of each AI enterprise, automatically matching them with applicable tax incentives and sending push notifications so companies don't need to search through policies themselves. Most tax procedures can now be completed online, including invoice applications and consultations. One Nanjing-based AI company reported that filing taxes used to take half a day of organizing documents and visiting service windows, but now it's done via mobile phone, freeing up time for AI R&D. The tax bureau also maintains digital records for each company and proactively notifies them of policy updates. Since 2020, Nanjing has been attracting AI enterprises, including Mobvoi, which relocated its headquarters there, and tax services have evolved alongside this growth.
