A progress report on the 2026 Spring Tax Service Campaign published by the State Taxation Administration on August 21 shows tax authorities translating digital policy into measurable filing experience. The article says Shenzhen's Nanshan tax bureau launched a scenario-based and Q&A-style guidance assistant in the electronic tax bureau's interaction module, powered by a tax AI large model. After launch, the connection rate improved, average waiting time fell to two minutes, and consultation resolution rose to 89 percent. The report also says Zhaoqing tax authorities connected interaction services across the web and mobile versions of the individual tax platform, forming a 24/7 smart-plus-human service model, with smart interactions accounting for more than 92 percent by early July. The case shows tax AI and taxpayer interaction capabilities moving from isolated pilots to broader digital service deployment.
