A public article reposted from the State Taxation Administration WeChat account on August 21 says Shenzhen's Nanshan District tax bureau implemented a scenario-based and question-guided assistant in the e-tax interaction module as part of the 2026 Spring Breeze tax service campaign. Powered by a large AI model, the assistant recommends solutions when taxpayers initiate inquiries and takes on consultation pre-triage and service guidance functions. The article says that since launch, the Nanshan bureau has significantly improved call-through rates, reduced the average waiting time for taxpayers and fee payers to two minutes, and increased issue resolution to 89 percent. The same piece also notes that Zhaoqing tax authorities have built a 7x24 smart-plus-human dual service model with intelligent interactions accounting for more than 92 percent. The case shows tax AI moving from standalone Q&A toward workflow guidance, human collaboration, and always-on service capacity.
