According to a May 28, 2026 report from the Tianjin tax authority, the city's tax administration has been upgrading its tax and fee governance through a digital foundation program. The public report says the digital tax persona project now spans smart consultation, taxpayer service, tax-source management, risk control, internal oversight, and tax inspection, integrating large volumes of tax-related data across fragmented systems for real-time statistics and dynamic visibility over registration, filing, collection, and invoice management. It also says smart self-checking for returns now covers seven tax and fee categories and can validate filing logic immediately after submission. The case shows AI capability and tax big data being embedded directly into the main administrative workflow.
