Guangdong E-Tax Platform Launches Smart Filing Self-Check: Results in One Minute

Guangdong tax authorities have rolled out a smart self-check function on the e-tax platform. Once a taxpayer submits a filing, the system immediately cross-checks logic across tax categories and compliance, returning results within one minute without disrupting the filing flow. Piloted in three cities in May and extended province-wide in July, the service has been used by over 7.2 million taxpayer filings, with 1.3 million receiving correction alerts. It shifts tax administration from post-hoc checks to real-time quality control, reducing credit-score penalties and late fees while cutting grassroots verification workload from two hours to 30 minutes daily.

Guangdong tax authorities have launched a smart self-check feature on the e-tax platform. After a taxpayer submits a filing, the system immediately compares logical relationships across tax categories and checks compliance, returning results within one minute without affecting the normal filing process. The feature was piloted in Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing, then extended province-wide in July. So far it has served over 7.2 million filings, with 1.3 million receiving correction alerts. Previously, filing errors were only discovered during post-hoc audits; now taxpayers can self-correct at submission time, avoiding credit-score deductions and late fees. Verification work for grassroots tax officers has also been cut from two hours to 30 minutes per day in pilot areas.
