The Jiangbei new industrial area in Wuhu, Anhui, has become a hub for computing power companies such as Huawei Cloud and the city-run big data operator. As business grew, invoicing turned into a headache: data did not line up across systems and manual issuance was error-prone. Local tax officials visited the companies one by one and built a tailor-made plan that links enterprise systems directly to the tax network. One company used to issue invoices through a third-party channel and ran into failures and abnormal documents; after connecting to the tax authorities, its invoicing efficiency rose by more than 90 percent and the failures stopped. The two sides engineering teams opened up the interfaces and added functions for industry-specific invoicing, settling batch transactions in one step and aggregating ledgers automatically, so payment triggers invoicing, data is collected by itself and documents are pushed out automatically. Thirty-five companies in the area now use the service, one of them becoming the first direct-connected firm in the zone.
