Wuxi tax authorities advance smart filing review and digital services

Wuxi's tax authorities did something quite practical this year: they merged smart review of tax filings with credit risk alerts, so the system screens a company's filing first, flags problems early and follows up with guidance, closing a loop of evaluation, correction, improvement and re-evaluation. Filing work keeps moving online. For high-frequency tasks such as adjusting digital invoice quotas, firms can prepare their documents and complete remote video verification with materials sent online, getting approval the same day, four to five times faster than before. Wuxi was also the first in Jiangsu to pilot sealed coding for departure tax refunds, making the process fully paperless, with more than 300 refund application forms issued in the first half of the year. New services such as a first-lesson programme for start-ups and a tax compliance white paper help young firms handle tricky areas like invoice management and separating company and personal accounts. In the first half of 2026, sales revenue in Wuxi's high-tech and core digital economy industries grew solidly, with regulated industrial firms in the optoelectronic integration and embodied AI robot supply chains growing fastest.
