Anhui tax authorities back smart agriculture with digital compliance tools

Anhui is a major grain province, and as smart greenhouses and intelligent farm machinery spread, tax issues around these new business models have become more complicated, so local tax authorities are using digital tools to tighten day-to-day tax management. In Lixin county, instant invoicing on payment is embedded in the settlement flow for farm produce purchases: once a farmer verifies identity and confirms the deal, the system issues the invoice within seconds of payment, keeping money, goods and invoices aligned. In Wanzhi district of Wuhu, tax big data is used to create digital profiles of new agricultural operators, with early warnings, in-process standardisation and follow-up support to help them sort out revenue recognition and cost allocation. Jieshou city deployed an intelligent research-expense module for a maker of Beidou-guided grain machinery, pulling R&D ledgers, inventory withdrawals and work-hour records automatically and coaching the company to fix deviations, helping it claim 18.76 million yuan in R&D deductions over three years. Yuexi county upgraded an intelligent industry-chain model that matches different tax rules to planting, services and sales. Anhui now tracks 56,000 smart farm machines and 20,000 drones online.
