Shanghai hosts launch event for AI-powered tax professional services

On 18 July the Shanghai Certified Tax Agents Association hosted a special launch event on AI-enabled tax professional services, with representatives from nearly 100 local tax firms attending. An integrated AI tax solution and three tools were demonstrated: a tax risk control platform covering pre-warning, in-process monitoring and post-review; a transfer pricing simulation assistant that turns a single natural-language instruction into full calculations and a finished report, cutting hours of work to minutes; and an overseas compliance assistant that consolidates multi-country data, translates tax documents and drafts filing materials. Speakers argued AI frees professionals to focus on judgement and risk assessment.

On 18 July the Shanghai Certified Tax Agents Association held a launch event on AI-enabled tax professional services, attended by representatives of nearly 100 tax firms in the city. An integrated AI tax solution was released and three smart tools were demonstrated: a tax risk control platform covering pre-warning, in-process monitoring and post-review; a transfer pricing simulation assistant that takes a single natural-language instruction and runs all the way from data calculation to a finished report, compressing hours of work into minutes; and an overseas compliance assistant that consolidates operating data from multiple countries, translates multilingual tax documents and drafts filing materials in one click. Speakers said AI is not replacing tax professionals: repetitive work such as accounting, searching and form filling goes to machines, leaving people to judge risk and shape solutions. Their global CEO survey this year covered 4,000-plus executives in 95 countries and concluded that applying AI to the tax function can save 50 to 60 percent of costs over the long run.
