Qiannan Tax Bureau Streamlines Invoicing with Fully Digital Invoices

The Qiannan prefecture tax bureau in Guizhou is digitising invoicing across industries. In Dushan county a first fully digital electronic invoice for second-hand housing was issued, letting taxpayers generate, receive and reprint invoices with one click after paying tax, without special devices or printers. Hotels and restaurants in Libo and Pingtang are piloting pay-and-invoice, easing peak-hour queues and cutting mis-issued or missing invoices.

The Qiannan prefecture tax bureau has made invoicing much simpler over the past two years. At the property transaction window of the Dushan county government service centre, a taxpayer who has paid the tax can issue a fully digital electronic invoice for a second-hand home with a single click, receiving it within minutes without applying for equipment, installing software or buying a dedicated printer, and can reprint it any time. Hotels and restaurants in Libo and Pingtang are piloting pay-and-invoice, so customers get their invoice the moment they pay, easing peak-hour queues and reducing irregular invoicing.
