The Jingdezhen tax bureau recently hosted 22 unusual visitors: tax officials from Myanmar, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania and Tonga attending a seminar on the digital economy and tax governance. At the service hall of the first tax sub-bureau they toured the intelligent guidance and interactive service areas, saw functions that work on a phone such as the e-tax app and WeChat account, and tried cloud desktop and touch-screen services. Talks went deep into how a smart tax system is built, how digital collection models are innovated and how cross-border digital firms are managed, and the visitors asked detailed questions about fast-track handling, document submission and cross-border business for non-residents.
