The Longgang district tax bureau in Huludao, Liaoning, recently helped a local gas station move its whole invoicing process online through the tax authority's Leqi platform. In the past, drivers had to queue at the cashier to register and ask for an invoice, which was error-prone at peak hours and led to missed or wrong invoices. Now drivers pay, scan a QR code, and the system reads the real transaction data, generates an e-invoice on the spot and sends it to their phone. The station is the first in the province to run instant transaction-based invoicing. Tax officials stayed involved through system testing and staff training, and plan to roll the model out to more scenarios.

Huludao tax bureau brings instant invoicing to gas stations via smart tax platform
The Longgang district tax bureau in Huludao, Liaoning province, worked with a local fuel retailer to move gas-station invoicing entirely online through the tax authority's Leqi platform, making Hongyuan Petrochemical the province's first gas station pilot for instant transaction-based invoicing. After the upgrade, drivers simply scan a QR code at the pump area and the system pulls the actual transaction data, generates an e-invoice and pushes it to their phone, cutting queues, data-entry errors and missed or wrong invoices. Tax officials provided policy guidance, technical linkage and staff training, and plan to expand the model to more scenarios.
